Soccer season has begun! Admittedly, Carson kids have not proven to be sports nuts, at least not yet. The oldest did soccer years! ago. My daughter did ballet, a little gymnastics, a little softball. They've been more interested in books, instruments (guitar, piano, bass...) and other such activities. In the past 6 months there has been more sports participation than ever before. Two boys on swim teams, now two boys in soccer.
I love supporting my kids in sports! Or any other activity that is wholesome for that matter. I love cheering them on. I love chattin with the other parents. I love seeing them be a part of a team. I love that I am at the stage in life where I do not have to drag babies, toddlers, diaper bags or strollers to said outing! LOVE IT!
Ask me in a few months how much I truly love 3 practices and 2 games a week, often in the rain. For now, it's just cool.
Oh, except when it's so cold and wet in the watter logged field that your kid's hands freeze to the point of burning pain and excruciating screaming and crying comes forth! (No, it wasn't the 6 year old either). Lesson learned and applied to his younger brother's game later in the day:
gloves
extra gloves
a coat to wear when not on the field
and magic hand warmers, the kind you find in the camping section

I'm glad you think it's fun.
I'm pretty sure I would hate it, but I'm kind of a party pooper that way.
Hey...thanks for you sweet comment on my Photography blog...it completely made my day. It's a passion of mine, so those things are always nice to hear! :)
I LOVE going to my sons soccer games also...except for cold weather, poor things! :)
