January's happenings...

The little card from my camera is malfunctioning...most of my January pictures are gone *sigh*. Words will have to do for January's list:

Mark started work in Germany:

A life long dream for him! For us this means we are back to a rotating shift, back to the familiar routine. During 2010 he was working on an assignment that took him out of town Monday-Friday EVERY week. Ugh! Having him home for 12 days at a time again is a treat. The downside was a LONG month as he started the job and needed extra time to be there.

Joe turned 11! We had the most awesome party ever. He invited his entire 5th grade class, plus a few other special friends. 21 kids came and with the help of 2 awesome moms, we played our way through the 2 hours with balloon popping, pizza, building marshmallow shooters, a giant marshmallow fight (boys vs. girls, of course), presents, cupcakes and ice cream! So. Much. Fun!

Peter and Joe did the pinewood derby. This was Joe's last year, and Peter's first. Typically these events end in some sadness, but thanks to a wonderful friend and his generous time, my boys loved their cars and Joe even took 3rd place, or was it 4th?

Lots of teenage hangouts at our house, which I love to see! My kids have really nice friends. A group of them learned and performed a beautiful song for our Stake Youth Fireside, with Katie accompanying. It was A.MA.ZING!
