Kitchen update...

Mark and his friend S. have been busy, busy, busy.... And I have been shopping! The dry wall is over half way up. I bought the shelves for the pantry, a kitchen cart for the microwave and shelves for the back door area for kids backpacks and shoes.

It's fun to be choosing the colors, textures and shapes for this room as we go along. It will be months before it is completly done, no 24 Hour Design, Trading Spaces, Clean Sweep or any other such quick remodel. Which is just fine since the kitchen will be usuable for the duration (once those walls are done ;-) )

And all the while I close my eyes and picture soft yellow walls, beautiful lighting, white cabinets, new countertops and kids sitting around a large island eating breakfast or doing homework. Ahhhh, nice!
