Trip-Day 3 continued

After Arlington Cemetery we got back on the metro. This is something we did several times a day, ride the metro. We got a good rhythm down, sliding our tickets in the machine. Waiting for the metro was another thing we got good at. We had the best conversations and were sometimes silly.

We found a cool wall to hang out by while we waited:

Thomas kept hiding from the camera, thinking I wouldn't catch him:

Mark and Ben had some thought provoking talks ;-)

Plenty of time for goofy faces:

The pretty gals:

Just hanging out:

Self-portrait:

After all of that, we went to the holocaust musuem. On the way there was our first look at the Mall, the Capitol building and the Washington Monument. When we got to the holocaust musuem it was almost closing time, so we didn't have long. I think some of the kids still enjoyed it and I am glad we went.

Later we met with Mark's mom's cousins that she had not seen in years. It was great to meet them, they were lovely people.

I guess I'm late to the party, as I was also going to say "Cute self-portrait." I also like the one of Thomas, and how Ben is kind of scratching his head as if to say, "Really, Dad, do we have to talk about this NOW?"
